Public Consultation shows great support for Lidl in Patchway
Residents from Patchway and Charlton Hayes have shown their support for Lidl during the public consultation phase (over 300 comments in support and approximately 15 comments of objection). People recognised that a Lidl in Patchway could benefit local residents and reduce the need for residents to travel. In light of feedback, we are now making some changes to our plans for the new Lidl store in Patchway. We hope to gain planning permission in Summer 2018.
Planning application submitted
Lidl submitted a full planning application to South Gloucestershire Council on 17 November 2017. This application number isPT17/5387/Fand is now open for public consultation.
Patchway residents attend Public Exhibition
We held an exhibition at Patchway Community Centre on 25 October 2017. This was hugely successful, with 94% of people supporting the store and 831 feedback cards being received. We have listened to your feedback and will now make some amendments to the scheme before making a planning application. Thank you to all those who attended.
Chance to give feedback at Public Exhibition
We are holding a Public Exhibition on 25 October 2017 at Patchway Community Centre between 2 and 7pm.
The event will allow the public to view the proposed plans. Members of the Project team will be on hand to answer any queries that you may have. We look forward to meeting you at the event, please see a map below if you don’t know where the Community Centre is.
How to find us
Bringing Lidl to Patchway
We want to bring an exciting new Lidl store to Patchway. Lidl offers fresh and high-quality products at affordable prices, giving Patchway and Charlton Hayes residents a better choice when deciding where to shop. We have identified a suitable site off the Concorde Roundabout on Hayes Way and plan to begin engaging with local residents and Councillors shortly.
